Unfair dismissal claims could be made if you feel your former employer ended your employment unfairly, either because of the way you were dismissed or the reasons given for dismissal.
Whatever the situation, employers must follow the correct procedures when dismissing members of staff, and if they do not you might be able to make a claim. Such proceedings must be started within three months of the termination of the employment.
There are many ways in which your dismissal could be unfair, such as if there was no fair reason for dismissing you, if the correct process was not followed or if you were let go because of an automatically unfair reason, such as wanting to take maternity leave.
If your employer dismisses you for exercising or trying to exercise any of your statutory employment rights that is an automatic case of unfair dismissal. Check out tupe regulations claims.
